Ask an AI who it would recommend instead of you

More customers now ask an AI assistant for a recommendation before they search. That gives you a new place to check on competitors.

Try this once a month:

1. Open ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude or Grok.

2. Ask the question a customer would ask, like "who is a good plumber near me" or "best bookkeeper for small restaurants".

3. Write down which businesses get named, and whether you are one of them.

4. If a rival shows up and you don't, read their homepage and note what they say plainly that you don't.

The answers shift over time, so the habit matters more than any single result.
